Back in 2018, when rumour mills were abuzz with Shweta Tiwari's second marriage with actor Abhinav Kohli being on the verge of falling apart, Shweta always maintained silence while Abhinav had gone on to refute the news. However, looks like there was more than what met the eye and trouble brewing between the duo were not just rumours. The pair’s marriage has indeed hit rock bottom, as on Sunday (August 11, 2019) Shweta Tiwari, accompanied by her mother and daughter, landed at the Samta Nagar Police Station to lodge a complaint against Abhinav. Shweta Tiwari Accuses Husband Abhinav Kohli of Domestic Violence?
However, this story has two versions-
Some reports state that Abhinav has been arrested after Shweta alleged him of abusing her daughter from her first marriage to Raja Chaudhary. It was also reported that Abhinav was showing his stepdaughter, obscene photographs from October 2017 and was even abusing her in filthy language. A report in Mumbai Mirror can be quoted as – ‘According to Dilip Sawant, additional commissioner of police, North Region, the actress reported that her husband had been abusing her daughter in a filthy language, making obscene comments to her and showing her obscene photographs on his mobile since October 2017.’
The ACP was also quoted as telling the tabloid, “Following the said complaint, an offence of outraging modesty was registered against the husband under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Information Technology Act. He was then placed under arrest. The complainant said the accused, who is her second husband, spoke to her daughter — his stepdaughter — using extremely filthy and obscene language and also showed her obscene content on his cell phone,” ACP Dilip Sawant Additional Commissioner of Police (North region) Dilip Sawant said.
He also added, “The accused has been arrested and charged with outraging a woman’s modesty, making sexually coloured remarks, assault, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and criminal intimidation under the IPC, and sections of the Information Technology Act,” Mr Sawant said.
However, a report in SpotboyE contradicted some of these statements. According to the portal, Shweta, her mother and daughter showed up at the police station and alleged Abhinav of assaulting his step daughter. The portal was quoted as saying, ‘Abhinav was brought down to the police station around 1 pm and after that, the four of them were present there for nearly 4 hours. Finally, they decided to not go the legal way and try to sort it out at home.’ Well, efforts to reach both Shweta and Abhinav have been futile until now.
