It’s still not safe to say that all’s hunky dory between Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma. Though the duo has been cordial to each other publicly and keeps mentioning how they have moved on from their mid-air fiasco, it looks like Sunil is still not in the mood to forget. And this became evident when the actor refused to promote his next film Bharat on The Kapil Sharma Show. Bharat’s lead actors Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif graced the show with their presence, the shooting for which took place yesterday. However, despite having an invite, Sunil Grover did not go on the show to promote the film. Sources present on the sets revealed that as much as Salman wanted Sunil to come on the show, the comedian put his foot down.
It can be recalled that Sunil and Kapil had a fall-out after the team was returning from Melbourne after a show. Apparently, Kapil was abusing Chandan Prabhakar, when Sunil intervened and asked Kapil to not abuse him. However, an inebriated Kapil abused and physically assaulted Sunil, after which the former quit The Kapil Sharma Show. After the fallout, Kapil and Sunil’s fights became common on social media, with Kapil tweeting an apology to Sunil. However, Sunil too in a big note gave Kapil a piece of his mind.
Then came the fight between Kapil and Sunil when the latter was asked of his inclusion in Family Time with Kapil Sharma. Sunil told a fan that he was not approached for Family Time… which triggered Kapil who tweeted back saying he approached Sunil.
The latest in the Kapil-Sunil universe is that ever since Salman took over as the producer for The Kapil Sharma Show Season 2, the actor has been urging both the comedians to patch up. And these rumors caught up more force when Sunil’s Kanpur Wale Khuranas went off-air. However, looks like Sunil is in no mood to budge, despite Kapil making statements of wanting him back repeatedly.
