Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Bhabhi Maa winning the competition of weaving a woolen socks against Devyani., Kirti and Laksh have no words  seeing the cute little pair of socks and want their baby to wear it first when it arrives.  Just then, Naira comes and greets everyone, she gets a warm welcome. Naira is  little confused about the news and wonders if she should share her good news with them or then first go and inform Kartik. Kirti shows her the socks made by Bhabhi Maa and Dadi for her baby. She loves it a lot and gets emotional.

Kirti tells all that pregnancy is the best thing to happen.  Bhabhi Maa tells Naira that when she becomes pregnant she will again make this kind of woolen socks for her baby. Naira  wants to tell the news to everyone but first she wants to tell it to Kartik.  Dadi tells her that your reports have  come here. We told  Kartik to  send Kirti’s report but by mistake he sent both the reports.  Naira assumes that Kartik doesn’t know till now but wonders what if the doctor had called and told him. She hurriedly tells everyone she will have to leave now, they request her to sit but she wants to go home first . While driving she thinks all the talks that Kartik had told regarding  her not getting pregnant and suddenly gives a break as someone comes in front of her car. She tells herself that she has to take care of herself and of the baby who is going to come into this world.

When she reaches home she sees Kartik busy with some work on his laptop. On seeing her he gets up and walks towards her and asks hers why had she gone to meet the doctor. He tells her that she should have told him as he was also going there only, we could have gone together.  Why she went alone she could have taken anyone as she is in such a condition.  Naira enquires how he knew? He answers saying he had called up the hospital and they had informed me that she was there, he asked what happen any test was to be done.  Naira replies that nothing serious just went to the dermologist as her skin is getting very dry.

Kartik   has planned some surprise for her  and is very excited about  it.  He calls Laksh and asks him whether he told anything to Naira. He  assures Kartik that no one told anything to her, she just came for some time and went.  Naira is in tension as to how to tell the news to  Kartik, seeing him sitting in  the garden and working. First she brings the heart shaped card written in it that she is pregnant then goes in and brings balloons written the same message but could not get the courage to go and tell him.  Lastly, she writes a letter and throws at him that is also of no news, so she goes near and tells him that she is pregnant and expresses her feeling and asks him to talk and hug her and let us celebrate but as Kartik had put the head phones he could’t hear anything.

Swarna is asking Kartik did Naira come to know about the surprise, he says no she doesn’t know anything. She asks him what to prepare, Kartik tells her to prepare everything whatever Naira likes sweets, snacks everything. Laksh shows Naira’s childhood photo and shows it to everyone.  They are also planning what to gift her.  Here Naira writes in the  mirror and switches off the light so that  when the lights are closed Kartik might see this.  Kartik enters the room with a bouquet of flowers and  switches off the light and goes closer to her and tells her why is she acting like this. Naira thinks he knows what she wants to tell him, he says forget everything about what I told you and what fight we had and kisses her hand and tells her to come with him and gives her a letter and tells her to read,. She reads out it is some Sydney Indian festival and that they welcome her to dance in their academy, Kartik asks her this is my gift to you aren’t you happy> Everybody comes in and wish her happy birthday and wish her and tell her to cut the cake. She cuts the cake and gives everyone, they tell her to sign the papers and go to the academy, but she is confused as to how she can sign as she can’t go there in the current situation.

In the precap,  we will find out if Naira informs Kartik and her family about the pregnancy.
