The Indian Institute of Madras (IIT) has finally released the exam schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering (GATE) today, December 26. Those who have successfully applied for the national level entrance examination can check the detailed timetable available online at; iitm.ac.in. According to the date sheet, the exam is scheduled to begin from February 2 and continue for four days, with the last paper to be held on February 10, 2019. For the upcoming session, GATE 2019 will be held in two shifts on each day—morning and afternoon. This year, IIT Madras will host the entrance exam for the admission in postgraduate and research programmes at top-notch institutes across the country. Candidates who fall under the eligibility criteria, will get the admit cards which will go live from January 4, 2019. For 2019’s entrance exam, a new paper of Statistics has been added in the GATE 2019 syllabus. This year, the exam will be conducted on the basis of 24 subjects that includes subjects like Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering among other subjects. After the successful completion of the entrance examinations, the GATE 2019 result will be announced by IIT Madras on March 16.
