The newly-built National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) from December 18 to December 22, 2018, in two shifts. Soon after it ended, students are craving to know the date when NTA will publish the answer keys, the result of which will be announced on January 10, 2019. Now, it’s confirmed that NTA will release its first UGC NET 2018 answer keys by December 31. As per The Indian Express report, an official of NTA has confirmed the news. However, the agency has not released any official notification as yet. With the release of answer keys, the students will get to know how their paper went and can even speculate their scores. UGC NET 2018 was conducted to determine the eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. This year, for the first NTA, conducted the exam as a computer-based test (CBT). On day one, about 65.3 per cent of candidates participated in the exam, and 72.8 per cent attempted on the second day, as informed earlier by HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar. The exam which was previously conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), this year’s online exam was more ‘transparent and secure.’ The candidates shall keep a check on the NTA’s site for all UGC NET related notification.
