New Delhi, July 14: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil services prelims result has been declared on July 14. Candidates can check the result on upsc.gov.in. The prelim examination was conducted on June 3. Around three lakh participants appeared for the exam in 73 centres across the country.  Those who clear the exams will be eligible to sit for the mains exam which is scheduled to be held on September 2018.

As per trends, the UPSC announces the Prelims result within 45 days of the examination. Earlier speculations were there that this time the result could be declared between 20 – 22 July.

UPSC Prelims were organised in two parts; Paper I which was conducted in the morning and Paper II in the afternoon. Marks obtained on Paper I are considered to scale the names in the merit list, but candidates must also score at least 33 per cent in Paper II to be eligible to write UPSC Mains.
