Darbhanga, April 18: In a shocking incident, a man was thrashed badly and hung upside down for stealing a mobile phone in Bihar. As per reports by ANI, the incident took place in Darbhanga's Hingoli village. According to details by police, three people who thrashed the man have been arrested.

In a video that went viral, a group of locals were seen thrashing the man. Later, the man was seen hanging upside down from a steel chain.

Many such incidences of violence have surfaced from the northern states. In the last week, a video went viral in which the husband is seen beating his wife with a belt, as he threatens to continue torturing her till her family pays him Rs 50,000.

According to reports by PTI, the police in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur have filed a case against a man for allegedly hanging his wife from the ceiling of their house, beating her up and sending a video of the assault to her parents, as they could not meet his dowry demands.

Earlier in March, a woman was tied to a tree and mercilessly beaten up in public by her husband for allegedly running away with another man. As per reports, the incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr area.  A small clip of the shocking incident, recorded on a mobile phone, went viral on social media.
