Mumbai, July 13: A high tide measuring 4.85 metres is set to hit the Mumbai shore today, July 13. The high tide is expected to hit shore at 12:13 pm this noon. The Disaster Management wing of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a warning for fishermen not to venture into the sea around that time.

The body has also issued helpline numbers - 1916 or 101 in case of emergency. They have appealed to people to contact the lifeguards deployed at several beaches in case any help is needed. (Also Read: High Tide Alert Dates In Mumbai)

The MCGM has deployed 36 equipped lifeguards on Girgaon, Juhu, Versova, Dadar, Aksa and Gorai beaches amid the high tide warning.

The BMC disaster control management had earlier last month issued an advisory saying that this monsoon, there will be 24 high-tide days when the sea level will be above 4.6m in Mumbai.
