Mumbai, May 6: Shocking revelations have been made by Mumbai Police in the murder mystery of a 28-years-old salon professional Kirti Vyas who had gone missing since March 16. According to the news report in Mumbai Mirror, the police has arrested Siddhesh Tamhankar, 28, a resident of Parel, and Khushi Sajhwani, 42, a resident of Santacruz and booked them for Vyas's murder.

The police told reporters, "The deceased was strangulated by her colleagues (Siddhesh Tamhankar and Khushi Sajhwani) in their car and her body was dumped in the boot while they went about their day at work. Later, the duo disposed of the body in Wadala Mahul Port Trust Road, probably in one of the creeks and sent the vehicle for a professional clean-up to get rid of evidence. However, the clues found from their car revealed the mystery."

According to the police, Tamhankar, an account executive with BBlunt salon’s Andheri (West) branch, was miffed with Vyas after she put him on notice period for slacking at work. Vyas had reportedly warned him to mend his ways or she would sack him. Tamhankar’s notice period was to end on March 16 - the day he murdered Vyas

Meanwhile, Police on suspicion collected two DNA samples from the suspects Ford Ecosport car -one from the front passenger seat and second from the boot and sent it to the Forensic lab for testing. Jt CP Sanjay Saxena, who has been quoted said." Our suspicion grew even more after we found that duo had switched off their phones when Vyas was with them. So, we decided to send the car to our forensic laboratory at Kalina." The quote further states,“We verified them against samples collected from Vyas’s parents. They matched and we knew the couple knew more than they were letting on,”

However, one of the Siddhesh(accused) relative ridiculed the Police claims and stated, "They are being framed. The cops still don’t have the body. They are under pressure, so they are taking the easy way out."

The duo has been arrested on charges of murder, causing the disappearance of evidence of offence, giving false information to screen offender, kidnapping and punishment for wrongful restraint case in the matter. Also, had been produced before the court where they have remanded to Police custody till May 11.
