Heavy rains lash Mumbai, causing water-logging in several parts of the city. People are facing a lot of in convenience to travel from one part of the town to the other. Train services are also running late, and taking the road is time-consuming because of the traffic caused due to the incessant rains.

Keeping in mind the hassles which passengers are facing today, Jet Airways has announced a waiver on penalties for flights operating to and from Mumbai for July 9. The airlines announced through a tweet saying, "Due to heavy rains in Mumbai, we’ve issued a waiver on penalties for date/flight change, refund, no-show (including fare difference if any), on all confirmed tickets for flights operating to and from Mumbai for 9th July 2018.

Continuous rains with heavy to very heavy falls are expected at few places in Mumbai and adjoining areas. Extremely heavy spells of rains are also likely over the city and suburbs, according to IMD prediction. Schools and offices are open, and there is no official announcement for a holiday, however, some schools in Navi Mumbai have declared a holiday. There is a flood-like situation in  Nalasopara.
