Patiala, June 21: In another act of brutality, a 14-year old girl was gangraped and her 12-year old brother was murdered by rapists in Punjab’s Patiala. Reports inform that the boy was found hanging from the ceiling of his house on June 15. According to a report by TOI, the case of mysterious death has been cracked by the police and it has been found that three men, from the same village, who raped the minor also killed the boy.

The Police has registered a fresh case and included sections related to murder, rape and criminal conspiracy against the three them who are in their 20’s. The three men have also been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The report further informs that the boy was strangulated by the accused men after he caught them raping his 14-year-old sister and hanged the boy’s body from the ceiling to make it look like a suicide. The three men also threatened the girl saying that they would kill her parents if she revealed anything about the incident. Reports inform that when the brutal incident took place, the parents, who work as labourers, had gone for cremation of a villager. While the parents were away, the three accused allegedly forcibly entered the house and raped the girl.

According to the TOI report, the boy was playing nearby and when returned home, he found the main gate locked. He then entered the house by climbing the wall and saw the three men raping his sister. As he tried to shout for help, he was strangulated by the three men. Reports further inform that the men then hanged the body from the ceiling so that it would look like a suicide.

As soon as the parents returned home, they found the boy’s body hanging from the ceiling and informed the police. When the police approached the girl, she finally broke down and narrated the entire story.

All the three are absconding with police teams trying to track them down. Officials said they had an idea about their hideout and expected to arrest them soon.
