Second BJP Worker Found Dead: Shahnawaz Hussain Alleges Nexus Between West Bengal Police & Government; Calls TMC a Taliban Congress Party

Another day, another Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member was found dead in West Bengal, this time the victim was seen hanging on an electric pole. The BJP has strongly condemned the incident and launched a scathing attack on the state government and state police. Commenting on the death of a BJP worker, party leader Shahnawaz Hussain alleged that the Bengal Police works like a cadre of Trinamool Congress Party (TMC).

The senior BJP leader also said that the party will not be sitting quietly over the death of its two workers. Shahnawaz Hussain said, “We will not sit quietly especially after the manner in which BJP people are being targeted. Bengal police work like a cadre of TMC, there is no difference between the two of them.

Reacting to the matter stiffly, the BJP leader also minced words for West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. Not only that, but Hussain went on to the extent of saying that it is not Trinamool Congress Party but Taliban Congress Party. He said, “This isn't Trinamool Congress Party but Taliban Congress Party. TMC is propagating terrorism. If TMC wants to fight, they must do so ideologically. The manner in which our worker was hanged, Mamata Banerjee does not have the right to stay in power anymore.”

The police in its statement said that the earlier case was of a personal enmity whereas the second one seems to be of a suicide. Talking to ANI, Joy Biswas – Purulia SP – in his statement said, “Earlier, in the preliminary investigation in the first incident, it seems to be a case of personal enmity. We've started investigating & we'll take proper action. In the second incident, it seems to be a case of suicide. The body has been sent for post-mortem.”

Babul Supriyo, BJP MP from West Bengal, also reiterated on the nexus between the state police and government. He said, “What TMC is doing under leadership & dictate of Mamata Banerjee isn't new. If action isn't taken immediately, we won't be able to face people. The biggest issue is nexus the between TMC & the police. The (West Bengal) Police are supporting and unleashing violence.”

Earlier in the day, a 32-year-old BJP worker was found dead, who is alleged to be murdered by TMC cadres. The said murder took place as the victim was part of the ‘thana gherao’ protest that took place recently. The following death took place after an 18-year-old BJP worker was murdered and was found hanging from a tree in Balrampur, in West Bengal.
