What Is Shillong Teer? Are Teer Games Legal?

The Shillong Teer is a popular archery-type lottery game played in Shillong, Meghalaya, drawing participants from across the region. In the Shillong Teer lottery, players are required to select numbers between 0 and 99. These games, deeply rooted as a local sport of the Khasi tribe, are officially organised by the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association (KHASA). Conducted across Round 1 and Round 2, Shillong Teer matches feature local archers shooting arrows at designated targets.
