New Delhi, January 6: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Monday released a video alleging that Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union (JNUSU) president Aishe Ghosh had led a masked mob of “Red goons” inside the university for “spreading terror”. The video was released a day after the mob of masked men attacked university students and vandalised hostels. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) student wing organisation shared the video on its official Twitter handle. The ABVP claimed that in the video, Ghosh entered the university with the masked men, who thrashed university students. Along with the video, the organisation wrote, “As reported by @Piyush_mi, at 00:16 in the video, President of JNUSU and leader of the masked left thugs Aishe Ghosh can be seen making appearance and leading the Red Goons. Anymore doubt left as to who really are the masked goons spreading terror on JNU campus?”

The BJP student wing organisation also alleged that the attack was carried out by Left-backed students' outfits. The ABVP had also claimed that in the attack 11 of its members were missing, while several others were also injured.

On Sunday evening, the mob of around 50 masked men attacked students and professors on the campus. In the attack, the JNUSU president was also severely injured. The opposition leaders also hit out at the Central government over the incident. The Ministry of Home Affairs sought a report from the Delhi Police.
