New Delhi, October 4: One person was dead while five others were injured after a can containing acid fell on them at an under construction site of the Pink Line of Delhi Metro on Wednesday. The incident happened at the Shiv Vihar Metro station of Pink Line in Delhi yesterday. The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Amit Chauhan. However, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has denied any role. "The incident had nothing to do with the Delhi Metro at all. No work which requires the use of such chemical is in progress there. The DMRC also said that the acid fell on the people outside the metro station from a vehicle moving on the road and not from the under construction site.

The Pink Line will consist of 38 metro stations between Majlis Park and Shiv Vihar and will be the longest line of the Delhi Metro.
