Social activist Anna Hazare's health has improved significantly, and he is expected to be discharged from the hospital in the next two days, according to a close aide. The 89-year-old anti-corruption activist was admitted to Bombay Hospital in South Mumbai on Monday night following blood reports that indicated a renal infection.
Health Status and Recovery

“Anna appeared very fresh today and met many visitors. His health has improved significantly. His food intake has also improved. He should be discharged in the next two days," his aide said, adding that Hazare has also been advised to maintain a high fluid intake.
During the day, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met Hazare and enquired about his health. On September 5, PTI reported that doctors at Bombay Hospital had advised continued observation for Hazare for another two days before being discharged. Back then, Hazare's aide Datta Awari said that the 89-year-old anti-corruption activist's health has improved and he is now taking proper meals.
