New Delhi, January 24: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has said that the voting rights of couples who have more than two children should be taken away. He also added that those with more than two children should not be allowed to contest elections. Baba Ramdev, who never shies away from voicing his opinion on issues of social and political importance, advocated that those who do not follow the two child policy should not be allowed to use government schools and hospitals. The Yoga guru further suggested that Population will be controlled automatically if those not following the two child policy are denied government jobs.

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev had said in December, 2018 that the political situation in the country is very difficult and we can't say who will be the next Prime Minister. The Yoga guru had made this statement while addressing the media in Tamil Nadu's Madurai.

The Yoga guru has also been a staunch advocate of Swadeshi and has been lending support to the idea of local going global- Glocal, through his business venture Patanjali enterprises.

He has also said that vedic learning must be encouraged and hence sought the support of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in spreading Sanskrit learning in West Bengal and other states. He had said that one can truly understand the spirit of Vedas by learning the language in which the scriptures are written.
