Mumbai, January 20: In a bizarre development, people present in Mumbai's Bandra Court on Saturday were left shocked after a popular Bollywood song "Yeh andha kanoon hai" from Rajinikanth's movie was played in the courtroom. The peculiar incident, which also shocked the magistrate, took place when the court was hearing to bail applications in difference cases, mid-day reported. According to a report, the sound of the song was heard coming from an unclaimed bag in the courtroom. As soon as the music started playing, a police constable rushed towards the bag and stopped it. The cop also found a chit with "bomb" written on it.

Taking cognisance of the matter, a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) was informed. "Nothing was found in it. We suspect somebody left it inside the court," a senior police officer was quoted as saying by Mid-day.

"The entire courtroom, including the magistrate, was surprised when the loud film song was heard," a senior lawyer from the Bandra court said. On inspection, a Bluetooth cell phone speaker was found in the bag.

"Yeh andha kanoon hai" is a song from Bollywood movie "Andha Kanoon" starring Rajinikanth, Hema Malini and Reena Roy in lead roles. Amitabh Bachchan also made a special appearance in the hit movie.
