Delhi: Class 9 Student Dies After Stabbing Over Friendship With Female Schoolmate

A 15-year-old Class 9 student died after allegedly being stabbed in outer Delhi's Nangloi area following an argument over his friendship with a female schoolmate, police officials said. Law enforcement authorities have apprehended three juveniles in connection with the incident within hours of the crime.

According to police officials, local authorities received information at approximately 1:51 PM on Thursday regarding a teenager admitted to Sonia Hospital with a severe knife wound. A police team dispatched to the facility found the boy with a stab wound measuring approximately three inches by one and a half inches on his right thigh. Preliminary investigations reveal that the victim was walking to school alongside his friends and a female classmate when three boys intercepted the group. The suspects confronted the girl, questioning her about her friendship with the deceased. Though the initial argument subsided and the victim's group turned back toward home, the suspects intercepted them a second time about 20 minutes later, triggering another altercation. During the second confrontation, one of the suspects drew a knife and stabbed the victim in the thigh before all three fled the scene. Following the victim's death, Nangloi Police Station registered a murder case under FIR No. 344/26. Police launched a search operation shortly after the incident and succeeded in apprehending all three juvenile suspects within hours. Further legal proceedings and investigations into the case remain ongoing.
