Investigators are currently analyzing more than 250 video recordings-including mobile phone clips, CCTV feeds, police body-camera footage, and drone footage-to identify individuals involved in the clashes and determine if the violence was part of a pre-planned conspiracy.
The cases have been registered at the Parliament Street and Connaught Place police stations under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, the Arms Act, and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act. Charges include unlawful assembly, rioting, obstruction of public servants, disobedience of public orders, and destruction of public property. According to police sources, one FIR specifically addresses the unauthorized flying of a drone in the New Delhi district during the ongoing Parliament session. Another FIR focuses on alleged conspiracy elements after initial evidence suggested organized coordination prior to the demonstration. The violence erupted when groups of protesters allegedly vandalized police vehicles and pelted stones at security personnel near Regal Cinema in the Outer Circle of Connaught Place.
