New Delhi, August 6: A day after a 21-year-old woman alleged that she was raped by cab driver in the national capital, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has sought a detailed report from the Delhi Police over the incident. The DCW on Tuesday asked the Delhi Police to submit an FIR of the incident and a copy of the route map driven by the cab  by August 9. According to a tweet by ANI, the Commission said it's a shocking incident where a girl was raped due to apparent lack of police patrolling on Delhi roads. "We have asked Delhi Police to provide a detailed status report along with copy of FIR and a copy of route map driven by cab for 3 hrs, latest by 09 Aug", it said. Swastika Dutta, Bengali TV Actor, Harassed and Thrown Out of Cab by Uber Driver.

The Commission said it has taken suo-moto cognizance of the rape case. It added saying that it's reported that victim was drugged and then raped in car. Moreover, the driver drove around for over 3 hours and then allegedly dumped in a park. The Commission further informed that the woman was found by locals in the park area.

On Monday, the 21-year-old woman alleged that she was raped by a cab driver in the national capital. According to police, they received information on Sunday from Safdarjung Hospital regarding the sexual assault on the woman. According to a report by PTI, the woman alleged that she was raped on Friday after she booked a cab from Delhi's Mandir Marg at around 8 pm.

The victim, in her complaint, stated that she visited a temple on Friday and later booked a cab. The cab driver then raped her and dropped her near IIT Delhi, police said.
