A plate of chole bhature has landed a man from Uttar Pradesh in an awkward spot. Ajay was at a roadside eatery next to a guesthouse in Brijghat, Hapur, when his wife Kavita turned up with her relatives, spotted 2 plates of food on his order and concluded he was there with another woman. The loud confrontation disturbed the usually quiet pilgrimage town on the banks of the Ganga on Tuesday afternoon, and police had to step in to restore calm.
Wife Says She Got A Tip-Off
Kavita told police she had received a tip-off about her husband's alleged fling and travelled to Brijghat with relatives to confirm it. According to a report in NDTV, she found Ajay at the eatery and saw the 2 plates of chole bhature, which she took as proof. Kavita alleged this was not the first time Ajay had gone missing. She claimed he had been skipping work for the past 2 years to meet women at different hotels. Confronting him, she said, "He is claiming that he did not bring anyone along. But if that's true, for whom was the second plate of Chole Bhature?"

Ajay denied the allegations. He said he had left home and come to the temple town only to find some peace and quiet, as he was tired of domestic issues. Police Step In, Couple Leave Together
As the argument grew louder, personnel from a nearby police check post reached the spot and counselled the couple and Kavita's relatives. After a lengthy discussion, the couple left together. Police confirmed that neither side lodged a complaint, and the matter was closed.
