Uttar Pradesh, September 11: A gas tank has exploded at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Plant in Unnao. Soon after the incident, fire tenders have rushed to the spot to douse the fire. The incident reportedly led to a lot of chaos at the petroleum plant. The entry inside the plant has been restricted.

Last year in a similar incident, at least three people were critically injured and five vehicles were engulfed in fire after a gas tanker exploded on Yamuna Expressway in Mathura. The tanker caught fire after it rammed into another gas tanker in Surir near Milestone 85. Reports informed that the fire which engulfed five other vehicles was later brought under control by fire tenders.
