Ghaziabad: Jobless Man Kills 3 Daughters And Wife on Suspicion of Extra-Marital Affair, Later Commits Suicide

Ghaziabad, July 5: A 37-year-old man in Ghaziabad who suspected his wife of having an affair has allegedly murdered her and their three children before committing suicide at his residence on Friday, police told Hindustan Times. “The man murdered his three children and his wife and later committed suicide. We have come to know that the man was in habit of drinking and suspected his wife of having extramarital relations. We have also recovered a suicide note in which he mentioned about his wife’s alleged illicit relations and that he had tied their faces with electrical tape,” said SSP Sudhir Kumar Singh to Hindustan Times.

The incident came to light at 4:30 am when other family members woke up after hearing noises from the couple's room. “About 10 minutes later I heard sounds of unfastening of tape from his room and children were crying. I started shouting and asked them to open the room. After some time the noise from the room fell silent,” said Pradeep's sister Reena.

The family suspected that something was wrong and called the neighbour for help. On informing, the police and forensic experts arrived shortly and open the door and rushed the family to a hospital where they were declared dead. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Meanwhile, a suicide note was found in the room which mentioned that there was some cash lying in the house which should be used for last rites.
