Hardoi: Woman Says Husband Bit Off Her Nose, Family Alleges She Bit His Private Parts

A 27-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district has alleged that her husband bit off her nose during an argument after she returned to his home following a gap of around two and a half months. She also accused her mother-in-law and father-in-law of holding her hands down during the alleged attack.

According to police, the incident took place on Thursday after the woman, identified as Sadhana, returned to her husband's home. A confrontation reportedly followed, after which her husband Deepak was detained.

Sadhana alleged that Deepak attacked her on the head before biting off her nose and throwing it into a drain. Police took both sides to the police station after receiving information about the incident. Sadhana was initially taken to the Community Health Centre in Sandi and later referred to Hardoi Medical College for further treatment.

Husband's Family Makes Counter-Allegations

Deepak's family has made counter-allegations. His mother claimed Sadhana had left with a local man who was also Deepak's friend and said the matter had previously been reported to police, where a compromise was reached.

She further alleged that Sadhana returned unexpectedly and attempted to take the couple's children with her. According to her account, a dispute followed during which Sadhana allegedly bit her husband's private parts and later injured herself by banging her head on the ground.

Police Investigating Case

Sadhana and Deepak have been married for around 10 years and have three daughters, aged eight, six and three.

Police said no formal complaint has so far been lodged by Sadhana, while a complaint has been filed by Deepak's mother. Officials said all aspects of the incident and the allegations made by both sides are being investigated.
