A 28-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in Faridabad’s Jawahar Colony on Sunday evening while on a video call with his girlfriend. The deceased, identified by police as Nikhil, reportedly took the step following a disagreement regarding the couple's future marriage plans. Local authorities have taken custody of the body and initiated a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Nikhil had been in a relationship with a resident of Sanjay Colony for approximately five years. According to police statements, both families had previously met to discuss a formal marriage proposal. However, the relationship had recently come under strain as the woman reportedly began refusing to go through with the wedding, a development that investigators believe caused Nikhil significant mental distress. ‘Couldn’t Live With Guilt’: Techie Dies by Suicide After 11-Month-Old Son Accidentally Drowns in Bucket in Bengaluru.
