The BMC disaster control management in June had issued an advisory saying that this monsoon, there will be 24 high-tide days when the sea level will be above 4.6m in Mumbai. Mumbai had seen heavy rains in the month of July, with reports of waterlogging from several parts of the city. However, the city has been relatively dry in August, with only modest bouts of rainfall in the city.
