New Delhi, October 31: India has been featured on the list of countries with the worst record for punishing the killers of journalists, according to reports of the Committee to protect journalists (CPJ). The report states that India has been placed on CPJ's annual Global Impunity Index for the eleventh time. It further claimed that India has occupied 14th spot in the list this year and the condition has only worsened with 18 unsolved cases.
The list comprises countries which have the worst record of punishing assailants of journalists. The list is topped by Somalia, and it features 13 countries. The other offenders in this list include Syria, Iraq, South Sudan, Philippines, Afghanistan, Mexico, Colombia, Pakistan, Brazil, Russia, Bangladesh, Nigeria and India.
