Chandigarh, February 23: An Indian Army captain has been abducted by unidentified armed men in Kiratpur town of Punjab. According to reports, the Army captain has been identified as Captain Vishal, who was kidnapped on Friday.

The Chandigarh Police received a call on Friday from a person named Suresh, who is working in the Indian Air Force (IAF). Suresh informed police that Army captain Vishal, has been abducted.

Suresh, an official in the Indian Air Force, is posted in Chandigarh and informed the police that he received a message from his friend Vishal saying that the Army Captain has been abducted on Friday.

Suresh also added that Vishal's message said that he was kidnapped by four or five men. The abductors were travelling in a white Polo car. The vehicle is said to have New Delhi registration number on it.

The Kiratpur police is investigating the matter. However, no breakthrough has been achieved in the case so far. The police said that it is hoping for a breakthrough soon.
