Srinagar, December 17: At least two Pakistani elite commandos of SSG (Special Service Group) unit were killed in Indian Army retaliation after a Pakistani Border Action Team (BAT) infiltration attempt was thwarted in Sunderbani sector, Jammu and Kashmir, reported ANI. One Indian jawan was martyred in the ceasefire violation amid the heavy exchange of fire with Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Jammu & Kashmir. It was in the counter-operation launched by the Indian troopers that the Pakistani commandos were killed.
The cross-fire was reported after the Indian forces challenged a suspicious movement by the Pakistani troops along the border.
A suspicious movement was observed by Indian Army along LoC in Laleali, Sunderbani sector (J&K) on Monday. As suspicious movement was challenged by the Indian troops, initially it was retaliated by fire and then a heavy explosion took place followed by heavy firing from Pakistan, said the Army statement.
