The incident comes as persistent rainfall has affected parts of Lucknow. Water accumulation and poor visibility during rain can make existing road damage harder for motorists to spot, increasing the risk of accidents. The road cave-in near the IT crossing has raised concerns over the need for timely barricading and repairs of damaged stretches to prevent further incidents.
