Heightened security ahead of NEET re-test
The incident comes as Rajasthan has significantly tightened security arrangements for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination. The Special Operations Group (SOG), local police and intelligence agencies have increased surveillance at examination centres and are monitoring suspicious activities to prevent cheating and paper leak attempts.
More than 59,000 candidates are scheduled to appear for the re-test in Kota and Sikar, where authorities have implemented enhanced security measures, including intensified monitoring and inspections at exam centres.
NTA cautions candidates against fake leak claims
Ahead of the examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) urged students and parents not to fall for fraudulent claims circulating online. The agency has maintained that no one can access the question paper before the scheduled examination and recently launched a dedicated portal for reporting fake paper leak claims, impersonation and other exam-related malpractice.
