New Delhi, November 15: Delhi Police commissioner Amulya Patnaik on Wednesday launched the e-Learning portal of Delhi Police which will be called 'NIPUN'. The move has been taken to incorporate advanced technology in order to provide in-service training.

The portal will provide online training and information to the police personnel. There will be specialised courses available on the app on topics like law- including latest Supreme Court and High Court rulings and other important subjects.

Patnaik , talking to the media, said that "The flexibility of conducting classes anytime and anywhere will now help police personnel to upgrade their skills and reinforce their learning while balancing training time with work. Based on the feedback and training needs, the courses will be tailored to meet the needs of our investigating officers," said.

The app has been developed in consultation with the UGC, FICCI, NHRC and Delhi University, said Delhi police.  Watch the video below:

Patnaik said that the website will provide the training syllabus, study material, and sample question papers, manuals, and much more. This e-learning portal will give online access to police personnel and will help them undergoing their basic training for relevant information, he added.
