"We made a small opening in her stomach and removed the objects through a laparoscopic procedure. One of the pens had its cap removed, and its exposed portion may have pierced the stomach, causing her further pain," Ramachandra Reddy said.

According to the patient's father, Nomula Hanumantha Rao, she had been dealing with mental health challenges for approximately a decade. He also noted that her husband had divorced her two months prior. Medical specialists continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the ingestion of the items. Following the successful operation, the patient has remained hospitalised under observation, and her condition is reported to be stable.
