Pilibhit Hospital Knife Attack: Student Stabs Batchmate, Staff Member Inside CT Scan Room Over One-Sided Love (Watch Video)

A paramedical student allegedly stabbed his female classmate and a hospital staff member inside the CT scan room of the Pilibhit District Hospital. The incident took place during morning hours, triggering panic across the premises before hospital workers managed to overpower the assailant.

The accused, identified as Sagar Singh, a resident of Kanpur, is a student at the local autonomous state medical college. According to preliminary reports, Singh engaged in a heated argument with his batchmate, Kashish Patel, a resident of Bareilly, before drawing a knife and executing a rapid sequence of strikes against her. A hospital staff member working in the CT scan department, identified as Nidhi, rushed forward to intervene and shield Patel. However, the attacker turned on her as well, inflicting knife wounds before other medical staff and bystanders rushed into the room, subdued him, and alerted local law enforcement. Both injured women were immediately moved to the emergency ward of the hospital. Medical personnel confirmed that both victims are undergoing targeted treatment and are currently in stable condition.

Senior police officials, including Assistant Superintendent of Police Natasha Goyal, City Circle Officer Amarnath Verma, and Kotwali Inspector Parmendra Kumar, arrived at the hospital with a police force shortly after the attack to secure the crime scene and initiate a formal investigation.

Preliminary inquiries by the police indicate that the attack stems from a case of one-sided personal dispute and harassment. Authorities stated that the accused had allegedly been pursuing and distressing the female student, who had repeatedly rejected his advances. The Pilibhit police have taken Sagar Singh into custody and registered a formal case. Investigators are currently reviewing internal security measures, checking available CCTV footage, and recording statements from eyewitnesses to complete the legal process.
