Jammu, November 29: Two terrorists were gunned down by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on Thursday. According to a tweet by ANI, the encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Khrew area of Pulwama during the early hours on Thursday. According to details by J&K Police, the slain terrorists were affiliated with the banned terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. The encounter comes a day after Journalist Shujaat Bukhari’s murder accused LeT militant Naveed Jatt was killed in an encounter in Budgam.

Police informed that the two terrorists killed in the encounter have been identified as Adnan Ahmad Lone and Adil Bilal Bhat, both affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen. Their bodies were retrieved from the site of encounter and arms and ammunition have also been recovered. No collateral damage was reported, police informed. Police informed that a cordon and search operation was launched by security forces based on a credible input about the presence of terrorists at Sharshali in Awantipora area of Pulwama district. Police informed that when the search operation was going on, the security forces were fired upon by terrorists, to which they retaliated. This led to a gunfight between them.

On Wednesday, two terrorists were killed in a gunfight with security forces in Budgam's Chattergam in Jammu and Kashmir. A K Bhatt, GOC Army’s 15 Corps informed that in the operation in Budgam, two terrorists were killed, one of them is Naveed Jatt, the killer of Shujaat Bukhari.
