Mumbai, February 15: With the 38 bravehearts of CRPF jawans being given the last salute by the entire nation, India’s premier temple trust – Shri Siddhivinayak Temple trust, in Mumbai – has announced that it will donate Rs 51 lakhs for the families of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for securing the nation in Awantipora area of Pulwama district on Thursday.

Announcing the decision on Friday, Shri Siddhivinayak Temple trust stated that they are donating the amount as a help to the kin of the martyrs’ families. With this, the religious trust has once again proved that it stands with the people of the country and follow the path of ‘Lord Ganesha’ (elephant god), who according to Hindu mythology stands with the braves and the needy. Pulwama Attack: PM Narendra Modi Vows to Give Befitting Reply to JeM Strike, Says 'Army Given Free Hand'.

Also, in another major announcement, Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Deb on Friday stated that his state government would give Rs 2 lakh each for families of CRPF personnel who lost their lives in Pulwama attack. Deb announced while briefing a press conference in Agartala.

Here’s the tweet:

Earlier, taking strong cognisance of the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the supreme sacrifice of the CRPF Jawans would not go in vain. "I understand that the nation is angry. We trust the Indian Army's valour and courage. I want to tell you that the forces responsible for the attack will be punished. We will crush terrorism. Forces have been given full freedom," PM Modi said. Without naming Pakistan, the prime minister said the neighbouring country is making a mistake if it thinks India would be torn apart by such attacks.

PM Modi said that the Indian Army has been given a free hand to teach the culprits a lesson and directed the Ministry of External Affairs to apprise representatives of different diplomatic missions of involvement of Pakistan backed terror groups. It is to be known that all major representatives have arrived at the MEA office and a meeting is going on now.

Earlier, the government has initiated diplomatic actions against Pakistan following the Pulwama attack. After a meeting Cabinet Committee on Security earlier on Friday, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on announced that the "Most Favoured Nation" status which was granted to Pakistan stands withdrawn. Jaitley also said the Ministry of External Affairs will intensify its diplomatic efforts to corner Pakistan on the international level.

The decisions were taken a day after the worst-ever terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir since militancy erupted in 1989, when a suicide bomber on Thursday rammed his SUV packed with explosives into a Central Reserve Police Force bus on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Pulwama district, killing at least 45 troopers, injuring 38 and leaving the security establishment stunned.
