Ludhiana, January 2: Hours after the massive fire incident in Delhi's Peeragarhi area which engulfed battery manufacturing factory and killed one firefighter, reports are coming that another fire incident broke out at a cycle factory in Ludhiana. Following the reports, 12 fire engines rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the fire. Emergency services have also been pushed.

As per the initial reports, the fire broke out in the SK Cycle Factory, which is situated in the Focal Point Phase-7 area of Ludhiana at around 4.30 pm. In order to douse the massive fire, 12 fire engines have been engaged by the district administration. Till now, no report of any injury or casualty has been reported. Earlier in the day, a fire broke out in a battery manufacturing factory in Delhi’s Peeragarhi area, following which 35 fire tenders were pushed into service. Fourteen people were reported injured, among which one firefighter succumbed to injuries. All the injured have been admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital and Balaji Action Hospital. This is the second such incident within a month, after a fire incident killed 35 people in Anaj Mandi area on Rani Jhansi Road in Delhi on December 8, 2019.
