The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is set to evaluate terms of service and establish a priority ranking for three short-listed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) candidates during its meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Wednesday appointed three new trustees and moved closer to selecting its first chief executive officer (CEO), with three candidates recommended by the selection committee set to be ranked by priority. The final appointment could be announced on Thursday, subject to the selected candidate accepting the Trust’s proposed terms.
The three new trustees are Delhi-based Mahesh Bhagchandka, a relative of late VHP leader Ashok Singhal; Ayodhya’s Madan Mohan Pandey; and Nirmala Yadav from Shikohabad. Three Candidates Shortlisted for CEO Post
The Trust is considering three principal candidates recommended by a three-member selection committee. The candidates were earlier found suitable for the post but were not placed in a priority order.
Trust members are expected to rank them from one to three. The first-ranked candidate will then be approached with details of the proposed remuneration and service conditions. The appointment will be finalised if the candidate accepts the offer. The selection committee has also recommended three reserve candidates. Selection Process Began With 5,585 Applications
The selection process began with 5,585 applications for the newly created CEO position. After several rounds of screening and assessment, the field was reduced to 16 finalists.
The shortlisted candidates appeared for face-to-face interactions in Ayodhya on August 11 and 12. They were assessed on professional experience, management ability, leadership skills, communication, technological understanding, vision and their capacity to manage large-scale operations.
The selection committee submitted its detailed report to the Trust on Tuesday. The panel comprises retired Supreme Court judge Justice Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi and Suresh Haware, a retired nuclear scientist and former chairman of the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust in Shirdi.
CEO to Oversee Temple Administration
The appointment is part of the Trust’s efforts to strengthen the administrative and operational structure of the Ram Temple complex.
The CEO will be responsible for overseeing areas including pilgrim management, coordination among stakeholders, major religious events, infrastructure-related activities and the use of technology in temple operations.
The Trust is also working on the service conditions and standard operating procedure for the CEO post. These details are expected to be considered alongside the ranking of the shortlisted candidates.
Appointment Likely on Thursday
The Trust is expected to approach the first-ranked candidate after completing its internal assessment. The final appointment will depend on the candidate formally accepting the proposed remuneration and other terms.
If the offer is accepted, the Trust is likely to announce the appointment on Thursday, marking the next step in the formalisation of the temple administration.
