Chennai, October 26: The Thoothukudi district court on Friday directed the police to register an FIR against Tamil Nadu BJP chief Tamilisai Soundararajan and her party workers who allegedly threatened and abused 28-year-old research scholar Lois Sofia at the Tuticorin airport last month.

The court's order came after the police had refused to file a case based on the complaint of Sofia's father A A Samy. This compelled Samy to move the district court seeking action against the accused. Louis Sophia, Arrested After Raising 'BJP Fascist' Slogan, Gets Bail; Tamilisai Soundararajan Says 'Her Character Questionable'.
