A 24-year-old woman from Mumbai, identified as Riddhi Thakkar, died after her motorcycle was allegedly hit by a speeding trailer truck on National Highway 30 in Chhattisgarh's Dhamtari district early Wednesday. Riddhi, a resident of Kandivali West, was travelling with a group of around 23 motorcycle riders from Mumbai who were on their way to explore Bastar.

According to police, most of the group had moved ahead while Riddhi and a few other riders were travelling behind, said reports. At around 5-6 am, a speeding trailer allegedly rammed her motorcycle from behind near Markatola Ghat on NH-30.
The impact threw Riddhi onto the road and left her critically injured. She was initially taken to a nearby health centre for treatment before being referred to Shriram Hospital in Dhamtari. Police Search For Trailer Driver
The trailer driver allegedly fled the scene along with the vehicle after the crash. Police reached the accident site and launched an investigation to trace the vehicle and identify the driver.

Riddhi Thakkar's Family Informed
Police informed Riddhi's family about her death and sent her body for a post-mortem examination. The accident has left members of the Mumbai-based motorcycle group shocked and grieving.
Dhamtari senior police officer Bhanu Pratap Chandrakar said Riddhi was travelling with the biking group when her motorcycle was hit by the trailer near Markatola. He said a case of unnatural death has been registered and the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
