An animal rescuer in Gujarat's Vapi revived a five-foot-long snake using nearly two minutes of artificial respiration after the reptile was found unresponsive inside an industrial effluent treatment tank. The rescue took place at the effluent treatment plant (ETP) of India Gelatine Company Limited (IGCL) in the first phase of Vapi GIDC, Valsad district.

How the Snake Rescue Worked
- Extraction: Pawar arrived at the site and retrieved the limp reptile from the chemical-laced water tank.
- Resuscitation: Finding the snake unresponsive, Pawar administered artificial respiration for roughly two minutes.
- Recovery: The reptile gradually began moving and regained consciousness before being removed for observation. Local reports differ on the species, with some identifying it as a non-venomous Dhaman (rat snake) and others describing it otherwise.
- Aftermath: The snake was kept under observation before being released into a nearby forested area. Pawar, exposed during the handling, underwent 24 hours of precautionary medical observation. A video of the snake's revival has also gone viral on social media.
