Tamil Nadu Man Posts Picture Consuming Beef Soup on Facebook, Gets Attacked by Mob In Nagapattinam

Nagapattinam, July 12: A man in Tamil Nadu's Nagapattinam district was hospitalised after being thrashed for posting a picture of him consuming beef soup. Angered by Mohammed Faizan’s social media post, the members of Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK), a political party, entered his residence and attacked him, reported Times Now. According to the report, Faizan, a native of Nagapattinam district's Boravacheri village, posted a picture of him consuming soup on Facebook on Tuesday, July 9. After seeing the post, some members of HMK entered his house and thrashed him mercilessly, reported Times Now.

Meanwhile, the victim's family members have demanded action against the perpetrators. The cops reportedly have arrested four people and filed a case under an attempt to murder. A probe in the matter is underway. Shocker: Mob Attacks Muslim Man for Selling Beef, Forces Him to Eat Pork.

In the latest on June 27, two men were thrashed by cow vigilantes on suspicion of carrying cow beef on Sohna road in Haryana's Gurugram. Following the attack, the men were admitted to a government hospital.
