The order, signed by Under Secretary for Primary Education S. Prakash, highlighted that the decision acknowledges the role educators play in imparting knowledge, fostering moral values, and guiding students toward career and personal development. According to government figures cited in the order, Karnataka is home to approximately 450,000 teachers, while India has over 10 million educators nationwide. The official communication has been circulated to all public instruction authorities, the Director of School Education, and relevant administrative units across the state for implementation.
