Hyderabad, December 6: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms a government in Telangana then BJP will respect your sentiments and rename Karimnagar district as ‘Karipuram’. Addressing election rallies in Karimnagar district, Yogi said, "If BJP forms government in Telangana then BJP will respect your sentiments and rename Karimnagar as ‘Karipuram’."Telangana Assembly Elections 2018: Yogi Adityanath Charges TRS of 'Muslim Appeasement', Asks 'Why All Terror Attacks Linked to Hyderabad?'.

UP CM further added, "Hyderabad will become Bhagyanagar as we did it in Uttar Pradesh where we changed Faizabad to Ayodhya and Allahabad to Prayagraj." Telangana BJP leader T Raja Singh Lodh, who was a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the dissolved Assembly, had on several occasions earlier said that BJP would aim to rename major cities in Telangana after the names of great people if elected to power. Meanwhile, voting in Telangana is scheduled to take place on Friday, while the counting of votes and results will be announced on December 11.
