Talking to media, on Wednesday, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) working international president Alok Kumar had suggested that the state of Kerala in indulged in a lot of fishing activities, being a coastal state; hence should eat fish instead of consuming meat. Alok said the organisation had passed a resolution in which they have demanded separate ministries from the Central and state governments for the protection and preservation of cows.

As per the Financial Express report, Alok said, “Kerala is a coastal state, and there is a lot of fishing. People should show respect for others’ sentiments too. We urge the state and central governments to form separate Ministry for Bharatiya Cow Progeny Protection, Preservation and Promotion.”

In the context of Ram Mandir, Alok said that if the court starts hearing on the daily basis, the ruling will come by the end of this year. He said, “The matter will come up for hearing before the Supreme Court on July 6 again, we want the Supreme Court to start daily hearing in the case.”

VHP leader Pravin Togadia threatened to form an independent organisation. Answering a question on the same issue, the VHP working president said, “The VHP operates on collective leadership. So there will not be any big loss to us because of it (AHP).”
