eKYC Required for Upcoming Payment
To ensure the funds reach eligible recipients without delay, the government has made eKYC completion mandatory for all registered farmers. Beneficiaries who fail to complete this verification process risk missing out on the upcoming installment.
The verification process has been modernized to allow farmers to complete their eKYC from home. Using the PM-KISAN mobile app or the official web portal, beneficiaries can now use face authentication, removing the need for OTPs or fingerprint scanning. Alternatively, farmers who prefer in-person assistance can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to update their details. Once the eKYC is verified, the installment is transferred directly into the farmer's Aadhaar-linked bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), a system designed to eliminate middlemen.
Previous Installment Rollout
The anticipated 24th installment follows the recent distribution of the 23rd installment over the summer. On June 20, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 23rd phase of the scheme from Hooghly district in West Bengal.

Understanding the PM-Kisan Scheme
Launched to provide targeted financial backing to small and marginal farmers, the PM-Kisan scheme offers eligible landholding farming families an annual income support of INR 6,000.
This financial assistance is disbursed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months. The distribution cycle typically follows three distinct periods: April to July, August to November, and December to March.
Beneficiaries are identified by their respective state governments. To qualify, a farmer must have land registered in their name and submit relevant land documents, bank account details, and an Aadhaar card during the application process.
Farmers looking to check their installment status, monitor their application, or register a grievance can do so simply by entering their registration number on the official PM-Kisan portal or mobile app.
