Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra has been appointed as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya, marking a significant administrative shift for the management of the temple, reports IANS. The decision was finalised during a meeting of the trust's members in Ayodhya today, September 2, following a selection process designed to strengthen the administrative and financial oversight of the temple.

Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra is a decorated veteran of the Indian Air Force who served for nearly four decades before retiring on April 30, 2026. Hailing from Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria district, he was commissioned as a fighter pilot in December 1986 and logged over 3,000 flying hours during his career.

He notably commanded the IAF's Western Air Command during Operation Sindoor in May 2025, a critical operational role for which he was awarded the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal.
