New Delhi, July 26: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the country, its youth and students are more important than any political position. In a post on X, Shah said, "For BJP workers, the country, our youth, and students are far more important than any position. Today, the resignation of Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan ji from his post exemplifies this very principle."

Shah Praises Dharmendra Pradhan's Tenure
Amit Shah also praised Dharmendra Pradhan's work as Union Education Minister, saying he introduced significant reforms during his tenure.
According to Shah, Pradhan played a key role in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP), expanding PM SHRI Schools, promoting digital education, encouraging skill development and strengthening industry-academia collaboration. He also highlighted initiatives to conduct examinations in regional languages and make the examination system more inclusive and student-centric.
Shah said Pradhan's tenure reflected his commitment to the goal of building a developed India.
Pradhan Resigned After CJP-Led Protest
Dharmendra Pradhan submitted his resignation on Saturday after days of student protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). Protesters had demanded accountability over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak, reforms in the examination system, compensation for families of students who died by suicide following the controversy and Pradhan's resignation.
The Centre later announced that it had accepted several demands raised by the protesters, following which the CJP called off its agitation.
