Mumbai, September 21: Fuel rates continue to soar causing immense problems for every person. Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi are at Rs 82.32 per litre and a diesel is being sold at Rs 73.87/litre. Petrol on the other hand in Mumbai inches closer to the 90-mark, it is at Rs 89.69 per litre and diesel is being sold at Rs 78.42 per litre. Will Petrol Prices Reach Rs 100 Mark? Thanks to Pump Machines, Fuel Rates Can't Be Raised Above Rs 99.99/Litre! Diesel prices have remained unchanged for the second day in a row.

Reportedly, the petrol price has shot by Rs 5.02 per litre and diesel by Rs 5.15 - the most in any single month, since the daily revision in fuel prices was introduced in June last year.

As fuel prices inch closer to the psychological Rs 90-mark in Mumbai where petrol and diesel are the costliest, Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari Tuesday admitted that fuel prices are "very high and hurting the public". Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had blamed international factors for the hike in the prices of petroleum products.
